SoundCloud Map [like very early release]

Release early it is said. This is what I do here. I’ve been working on a project at university over the past months mashing together SoundCloud and Google Maps. The summer term is nearly finished, project deadline has passed, so time to make it public.

Click here and have a look. What you see are the latest tracks uploaded to SoundCloud. Click on markers and play the tracks. You can filter by genre on the upper left.

I’ve also written a paper about it and the code is available on GitHub. You are welcome to fork.

There is still a whole lot to do. Most important the graphics and overall user-interface need some rework. Henrik is going to take the project to Music Hack Day in London next weekend, I expect great things
